11 New Port Isabel COVID-19 cases. Port Isabel total case count: 44. New Cameron County cases: 358. Case total: 3,854.

Cameron County has received confirmation of two additional COVID-19 related deaths of Cameron County residents. The individuals were a  63-year old male from Harlingen and 63-year old male from La Feria. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 79. 

As part of the COVID-19 action response plan, Cameron County Public Health is conducting epidemiological investigations to determine transmission and contract tracing to identify potential exposures. 7/9 Port Isabel: 3 new COVID-19 cases. Female, 9 months & female 41 & male 27 [community]. Port Isabel case total: 33.

Cameron County has also received confirmation of an additional 126 case reports of COVID-19. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 3,246 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional fifty-six (56) individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 2,341.

7/7 Port Isabel: 2 new COVID-19 cases. Female, 45 [community] & female 30 [link to previous case]. Port Isabel case total: 30.

Cameron County has received confirmation of two additional COVID-19 related deaths of Cameron County residents.
The individuals were a 65-year old female and 81-year old male from Brownsville. They were both previously reported cases. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 70. 

Cameron County has also received confirmation of an additional 117 case reports of COVID-19. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,997 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional one hundred and seven (107) individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 2,180.

New Port Isabel 1 New COVID-19 Case: Male 38 [link to previous case]. Total Port Isabel cases: 28.

Cameron County has received confirmation of four additional COVID-19 related deaths of Cameron County residents. The individuals were a 23-year male from Rancho Viejo, a 42-year male from Harlingen, and a 68-year old male from San Benito. In addition, there was a 92-year old female resident of The Rio at Fox Hollow. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 67. 

Cameron County has also received confirmation of an additional 87 case reports of COVID-19. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,779 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional 208 individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 2,004.

Port Isabel 2 New COVID-19 Cases: Female: 22, Male 29 [community]. Total Port Isabel cases: 27.

Cameron County has received confirmation of 3 additional COVID-19 related deaths of Cameron County residents. The individuals were an 84-year old female and 86-year old male residents of The Rio at Fox Hollow. In addition, there was a 66-year old male from Brownsville and passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center- Brownsville. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 63. 

Cameron County has also received confirmation of an additional 81 case reports of COVID-19. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,692 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional seventy (89) individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 1,796.

Cameron County has received confirmation of 4 additional COVID-19 related deaths of Cameron County residents. The individuals were a 56-year old male, a 58-year old male and a 80-year old male from Brownsville. In addition, there was 65-year old male resident of The Rio at Fox Hollow. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 60. 

Cameron County has also received confirmation of an additional 101 case reports of COVID-19.  This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,611 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional seventy (70) individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 1,707.

Port Isabel: New confirmed COVID-19 case: Female, 68 [community]. Total Port Isabel cases: 24.

Cameron County has received confirmation of an additional COVID-19 related death of a Cameron County resident. The individual was an 80-year old female resident of Brownsville and passed away at Valley Regional Medical Center. She was a previously reported case. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 56.

Cameron County has also received confirmation of an additional 111 case reports of COVID-19. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,510 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional ninety-eight (98) individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 1,637.

Cameron County has received confirmation of one additional COVID-19 related death of a Cameron County resident. The individual was an 83-year old female resident of Los Fresnos. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 55.

Cameron County has also received confirmation of an additional 98 case reports of COVID-19. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,183 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional 107 individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 1,390.

Cameron County Confirms Additional COVID-19 Cases Cameron County has received confirmation of an additional ninety-two (92) case reports of COVID-19. This includes a new case in Port Isabel. Female, 56, link to previous case.


This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 1,546 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional sixty-five (65) individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 944.

Cameron County Public Health continues to work with five nursing home facilities and one detention center in addressing the COVID-19 outbreaks. To date, the Cameron County cases arising from the Veranda Nursing Home has included 35 employees and 63 residents who have tested positive, including eleven (11) who have passed away. The Windsor Atrium currently has 39 employees and 61 residents who have tested positive, including sixteen (16) individuals who have passed away. Spanish Meadows in Brownsville also has six (6) employees and eleven (11) residents who have tested positive, including one who has passed away. The Rio at Fox Hollow in Brownsville has five (5) employees and thirteen (13) residents who have tested positive. Alta Vista in Brownsville has one (1) employee and three (3) residents who have tested positive. In addition, Port Isabel Service Processing Center has seven (7) employees and fifty-three (53) detainees who have tested positive.

As part of the COVID-19 action response plan, Cameron County Public Health is conducting epidemiological investigations, contact tracing as needed, and continues to monitor the situation.

Cameron County received confirmation of 3 additional cases in Port Isabel. 32 year old male (community spread), 25 year old female (linked to a previous case) and 29 year old male (linked to a previous case). These cases bring the total Port Isabel cases to 12.

A total of 40 additional cases brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to 1178 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional 21 individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 781.

Cameron County had confirmed a new COVID-19 case in Port Isabel. 49 year old female, linked to a previous case. Port Isabel’s case total is 9. A total of 57 case reports of COVID-19 in Cameron County raised the number to 1138.

Cameron County has confirmed a new COVID-19 case in Port Isabel. 52 year old male, community spread. A total of 39 additional cases in Cameron County brings the total to 990.

Cameron County has received confirmation of two additional COVID-19 related deaths of Cameron County residents. The individuals were 65 and 67-year-old males from Brownsville. They were both previously reported cases. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to forty-two (42).

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases to 990 in Cameron County. There have also been an additional twenty-eight (28) individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 686.

Cameron County Public Health continues to work with the three nursing home facilities in addressing the COVID-19 outbreaks.
