Historic Preservation

2019-10-15_0043Port Isabel’s Historic District’s Guidelines were developed and adopted in July 2002 in a effort to preserve and enhance the aesthetic beauty that the community of Port Isabel is known for. A wide variety of architectural influences has resulted in a unique skyline that ranges from the Port Isabel Lighthouse and Keepers Cottage to the architecture of the Champion Building. The Guidelines which can be found here (Port Isabel Historic Design Guidelines), will be helpful when planning a project in the district. For more information about the Port Isabel Historic Design Guidelines call Jeannie Marie A. Flores at 956/943-7602 or email museumdirector@copitx.com.
